Griffin AeroSport Armband Case for iPod touch 2G Black

Griffin’s AeroSport Armband is the ideal–quite possibly even the perfect–combination of features and wear-all-day comfort that is demanded by runners, walkers, and athletes of every stripe. The AeroSport starts with a light, silky, flexible armband of super-wicking stretch fabric, cut wide so it stays put comfortably. Adjust it to fit your arm, slip your iPod into the included detachable case, and clip it to the band. The case provides full screen protection and can be used apart from the armband. Griffin has even included an ingenious cord wrap that takes up the slack in your headphone cable, keeping it tangle-free. High-visibility reflective accents keep you visible for safety at dusk or dawn.

1 Star Falls apart after 1 month
My girlfriend and I run 3 miles every morning. After one month, the backing behind where the iPod Touch sits started to come “un-glued” on both of ours. If this is seriously a sport armband, what kind of testing did they do? The thing fell apart so quickly. Any testing would have figured this out.
They must know people sweat becuse the entire unit seems to be covered so sweat will not destroy the iPod.
If you don’t sweat and dont run, buy it but if you plan on being somewhat active, get a different one. I am doing that now. I hope they will accept my return.
4 Stars Good Armband Case at a Great Price
I nosed around for iPod Touch 2G compatible armbands and, based on reviews and price, decided to take a shot on this one. I like it as it is very durable and instills confidence that the iPod is good and secure while I work out.
My only gripes about the product are minor. The armband starts out sitting comfortably on my arm, but it starts to chafe a little after about 20 minutes of activity and sweat. I can put it over my shirt sleeve, but I find that a bit binding. The other gripe is that the heavy duty plastic screen protector can be a real impediment as the response to some of the touchscreen commands (such as deleting a file when finished) is sluggish and can require multiple attempts. However, it is “heavy duty” for a reason and while I get occasionally frustrated with sluggish touch controls, I would rather feel confident that the device is getting adequate protection.
All in all I like it and am satisfied with the value for money paid.
1 Star Fallin apart in less than 3 months.
I purchased this armband at a major (now closed) big box technology store and liked the fact that the screen was completely covered, but was ambivalent about the head phone holder. I was worried about the material at the opening of the case, itself. It appeared thin, and I thought it would quickly tear as I inserted and removed my Touch. I should note that I only use this case and armband when I go on my runs.
However, it was not the case that tore, but a backing on the armband that covers the plastic clip that began to fall apart. It appears that the protective fabric behind the clip (which forms a barrier between your arm and a plastic clip that holds the iPod Touch case to the armband) was glued into place. After less than 15 runs, my sweat appears to have broken down the glue and the backing has pulled away. Every time I put the armband on now, I have to futz with the cover to make sure it goes back into the right area.
I plan to purchase a new armband as soon as possible, and I do NOT recommend this to anyone that wants to run or exercise.
5 Stars Great product!
This is a great product! It fits the i-pod perfectly and allows it to sit on your arm while working out without getting in the way. It even has a place for the extra wire for the headphones to wrap around, so they are not getting tangled around your arms, etc… Awesome buy!
3 Stars not for everybody
Im just a guy that goes to the gym and the arm band wont fit. Guess I will have to just use the belt clip..Disappointed.. guess I should have thought of this.
